Experience/Background
A member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts and
New York Bars, Mr. Madden founded his Rhode Island law practice
in Providence in 2001. Tom was Judge Lagueux's first summer clerk
in Federal District Court in Rhode Island. He began his legal career
nearly two decades ago in New York with the law firm of Donovan,
Leisure, Newton & Irvine. With experience in business start-ups,
corporate transactions, business and public finance, securities
law and nonprofit organizations law, Tom conducts a general business
law practice. Tom has further experience with software licensing
negotiation and agreements, web development contracts, copyright
and trademark issues and registration. He also has experience with
employment and consulting agreements and employee policies and practices.
His clients range from home-based startups to large institutions.
Mr. Madden resides with his wife and three children in his hometown of Warwick, Rhode Island.

York, Mr. Madden is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association
Committee on Ethics and Professionalism (2000-present), delegate
